Meanwhile, 94% of working Americans pay into Social Security with every paycheck, all year long. This rigged system that lets millionaires and billionaires off the hook doesn’t just benefit the ultra-rich, it leaves Social Security underfunded and working families at risk.

Now, Musk’s allies in Congress, dubbed the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Caucus, are plotting to slash trillions of dollars from Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Their goal? To pay for even more tax cuts for millionaires, billionaires, and corporations.

Elon Musk paid his Social Security payroll taxes for 2025 just 15 minutes into the New Year.[1] By the time you’d finished your first cup of coffee of the year, Palantir CEO Alexander Karp and Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong had joined him. By the end of New Year’s Day, 229 of the wealthiest Americans were done paying into the system, while most of us, 164 million working people, will pay all year long.

This rigged system isn’t just unfair, it's putting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid at risk. Musk and his Congressional allies in the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Caucus are scheming to slash trillions of dollars from these critical programs. The purpose? To fund more tax breaks for billionaires and corporations.

It’s time to act. Tell Musk and the DOGE Caucus: Hands off Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid!

For nearly 90 years, Social Security has kept a simple promise: if you work hard and contribute your fair share, you’ll have the financial security to retire with dignity. But that promise is under attack by Wall Street millionaires and billionaires who want to privatize Social Security in order to profit from our tax dollars.

These same Wall Street crooks have spent decades trying to convince the American people that Social Security is going broke. And, while Social Security does face future fiscal challenges, which would not end benefits but could reduce them by about a fifth, there’s a solution that doesn’t involve cutting benefits: scrapping the Social Security payroll cap for the richest 1%, ensuring millionaires and billionaires start paying more of their fair share.

The cuts Musk and his allies are pushing could devastate the lives of millions of seniors, people with disabilities, and working families.

This fight is about fairness and the future. The DOGE Caucus wants to use your benefits to bankroll tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy. It’s a direct attack on millions of hardworking Americans who depend on these programs to survive.

We’ve beaten back billionaire greed before and we can do it again, but only if we stand together.
