John, it’s Dick.

I recently talked with CNN’s Dana Bash about the Senate Judiciary Committee’s accomplishments, including the confirmation of a record-breaking 235 federal judges.

I’m truly proud of the work we’ve done in the committee over the last four years under President Biden. These well-qualified judges represent the best of America and will protect our democracy to the fullest extent.

We also talked about Trump’s extremist stance on immigration. For decades, I’ve worked to secure our border as well as ensure a path to citizenship and a better life here in the United States for those already contributing to our communities, especially Dreamers.

To hear Trump being open, once again, to protecting Dreamers was somewhat encouraging. My response? Any time, any place, Mr. President. I will have that discussion with you – my door is open.
