Friends,

It's been a decade since Louisiana last raised its minimum wage. Everything from the price of groceries to school supplies and housing has gone up – all while the wages of thousands of hardworking folks have remained stagnant.

The vast majority of Louisianans know we need to change that. A survey from LSU found that 81% of folks in this state support raising the minimum wage.

Most Louisianans support raising the minimum wage. Do you?

A modest increase in the minimum wage would help a lot of hardworking families. Yet my opponents in the state legislature – and those running against me for governor – are against raising wages. I'm determined to win reelection and do what's right for this state. But I need your help.

Winning this campaign takes all of us speaking up together, loud and clear, for what matters. That's why I've set a goal for 5,000 supporters to show their solidarity on a minimum wage increase – including you – before midnight tonight. Tell me:

Do you support raising the minimum wage in Louisiana?

Thank you,

Governor John Bel Edwards
