Earlier this week, I shared the International Rescue Committee's 2025 Emergency Watchlist, a critical report that reveals how deeply unbalanced our world has become.

While the challenges are significant, IRC's experience shows that there are ways to save lives, build resilience, and preserve the livelihoods of the most vulnerable—and you're already part of the solution.

Today, I want to share with you a summary of how we're taking action, thanks to your support:

→ We're making humanitarian work smarter. The IRC has conducted over 400 cost-effectiveness studies across 37 countries to ensure every dollar goes further. When you support the IRC, you're backing solutions we know work.
→ We're protecting civilians in hard-to-reach areas. In Sudan, for example, with the largest humanitarian crisis ever recorded, your support helps us deliver essential services even in the most challenging circumstances.
→ We're building climate resilience in vulnerable communities. While Emergency Watchlist countries contribute less than 4% of global carbon emissions, they face some of the worst climate impacts. Your support helps communities adapt and prepare.
