Latin America
Praise God for the signing of a landmark agreement to strengthen the justice system’s response to sexual violence against women and children in Bolivia. The partnership includes specialized training for prosecutors, improved survivor care and initiatives to combat impunity. Alejandra Cámara, IJM Bolivia’s director, emphasized the transformative potential of this collaboration, stating, "This is just the beginning" of building a stronger and more compassionate justice system.
Africa & Europe
Praise God that IJM was recognized by the Embassy of Ukraine in Romania for its significant support of Ukrainian refugees since the onset of the conflict. IJM has directly assisted over 7,000 refugees with critical needs such as immigration, housing and medical care, while also equipping over 400 frontline responders to combat human trafficking. We praise God for IJM's impact in Ukraine through partnerships and volunteers, and pray for safety during this crisis.
South Asia
Please pray for some investigations leads undertaking our first cases of the year. IJM and our partners have identified several worksites that may be using bonded labor. Pray for safety and wisdom for our staff as they gather information and prepare these cases to present to the local government. Pray that these officials would act quickly to bring families to freedom.
Asia Pacific
Praise God for justice in Thailand, where a Burmese perpetrator was convicted of trafficking a 17-year-old boy into forced labor. The survivor endured six months of abuse, unpaid labor and threats before escaping and reporting his case. With IJM’s legal support, the court sentenced the trafficker to over four years in prison, providing a powerful example that exploitation will not go unpunished.
