I don’t know if you heard, but we got a lot of snow here in DC the past week. Luckily, Michigan winters prepared me well.

While I’ve been here, I’ve been thinking about home a lot. Not just because of the snow and my job, but because the Lions are #1 in the NFC and are headed to the playoffs!

Even in DC, I’m reminded of my Michigan pride. This is what happens when you combine teamwork, grit, and determination.

Sports are often a great metaphor for working in politics, because even when you’re an underdog, you still have a shot at winning. House Democrats may be in the minority, but you better believe that we’re not giving up on fighting for the policies we care about.

So let this message be a reminder on this cold winter Saturday morning to not only stay warm, but to have faith that we can still score victories when the odds are stacked against us. If you’re a part of the fight, will you chip in $25 today?
