John, Attorney General Merrick Garland has a choice: release the full truth behind Trump’s alleged crimes before he takes office – or help cover up the truth by shielding Trump from accountability.
That’s because Attorney General Garland only plans to release one of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s two investigations into Trump’s wrongdoings – meaning we’ll learn important details about his attempt to overturn the 2020 election, but nothing about Trump stashing over 300 classified documents at Mar-a-Lago. [1]
John, let me be frank: if Attorney General Garland doesn’t release the full unredacted report before January 20th, Trump will cover it up for good when he takes office, and we will likely never know the truth of how Trump recklessly endangered our national security.

Trump was indicted for serious crimes in his classified documents case, including stealing and hiding classified White House files at his Mar-a-Lago resort, willfully endangering our national security, and trying to cover his tracks every step of the way. [2]
And John, it’s not unprecedented to publicize the results of these kinds of special counsel investigations.
In fact, just last year Merrick Garland publicly released the special counsel report about President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents [3] – so it’s only fair to demand he hold President-elect Trump to the same standards.
The American people deserve to know the full truth behind the serious crimes our incoming president is accused of.
Failing to release the full report is – at best – a major lapse in judgement. At worst, it’s a complete disregard for accountability.
