John,

I first met Tom Winter last year when his campaign team contacted me about unionizing. Even though their team is small, they knew the value of workers’ rights and so did Tom. We met with him and asked for voluntary recognition. Tom enthusiastically agreed! That meant no wasted time going through hearings and an election supervised by the National Labor Relations Board.

His employees wanted to be in a union and he agreed with their choice. Simple. Over the next couple months, the employees with their Union representation sat down with Tom, wrote a contract, and signed it.

James, Michael, and Tom sign the unionization contract in January 2020.

I was really impressed by Tom, not just as a candidate for office, but as a person. His kindness, compassion, and commitment to the causes he cares about showed me that he’s not your run-of-the-mill politician. More employers and representatives should care about their employees and constituents like Tom does.

The Winter campaign made history by becoming the first political campaign to unionize in the history of Montana. Tom doesn’t just talk about workers' rights, he actually demonstrates that workers rights are necessary for a productive workspace.

Getting to know Tom has shown me that his platform is about so much more than just workers' rights. He’s passionate about taking care of our natural resources, fixing our nightmare healthcare system, and having quality education opportunities for our children. I don’t know about you, but these are all issues that I want my representative to be working for.

Tom is going to make an incredible Congressman, and I’m thrilled to be voting for him on June 2nd.

I’m voting for Tom Winter because he does the right thing, even when it’s hard. He will always put Montanans first.

Rep. Tom Winter proudly represents Montana’s 96th district in the State House. In 2018, Tom flipped his state house seat from Red to Blue in a Trump +10 district by talking to every voter, regardless of party. As a rising star in the Democratic Party, Tom has been fighting hard in the state house to ensure all Montanans have access to affordable, quality healthcare. Tom is running for Congress in 2020 for Montana’s At Large congressional seat. To learn more click here [[link removed]] .
