3 Holy
Masses, Our Lady of Prompt Succor, Jan 13-15. Submit intentions now!

Dear Friend,
Please join me in invoking Our Lady
of Prompt Succor for an end to the California wildfires, as well as
all those who are affected by the devastation. We will also pray for
the repose of the souls who have died and especially those who have
been injured and all first responders.
Why Our Lady of Prompt
Succor?
Mary, under this title, “Prompt
Succor” means “quick help” – Mary comes quickly and takes care of any
situation!
The National Votive Shrine of Our
Lady of Prompt Succor is located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Pope Pius
IX authorized public devotion to Mary, under this title, in 1851. In
1894, Pope Leo XII approved the Canonical Coronation of the image. The
gold and precious stones on the crowns of Jesus and Mary were donated
by the people of New Orleans. The veneration and honor are due to the
two miracles through the intercession of Our Lady of Prompt Succor
that took place in 1812, when a terrible fire that raged through New
Orleans spared the convent and in 1815, when the Battle of New Orleans
was won.
You can ask the Blessed Virgin Mary
for protection and “quick help” too! Please submit your intentions for Three Holy
Masses, invoking the aid of
Our Lady of Prompt Succor, especially for all those who are affected
by the California wildfires, as well as those involved in the New
Year’s Day terrorist attack in New Orleans. The Three
Holy Masses will begin on Monday, January 13 and end on the
Traditional Feast Day, January 15.
Devotees have invoked Our Lady of
Prompt Succor in every necessity, including:
- protection against evil
- protection against every accident
- quick
help with financial difficulties, desperate medical situations, as
well as all who are ill
- the
conversion of family members and loved ones
- protection while traveling
- protection against floods, fires, lightening and
tempest
- graces
for those searching for the faith
- protection against the enemies of our country
Please join me in invoking Our Lady
of Prompt Succor, who is full of kindness and a haven of safety, to
all who cry out for “quick help.”
Embracing the graces of Our Lady of
Prompt Succor,
