Commemorating President Jimmy Carter

Last week, our country lost President Jimmy Carter, an American hero who dedicated his life to fighting for democracy and human rights. From his military service, to his philanthropy, to his time leading the country as President, he touched the lives of many.

His memorial service was a time to reflect on his legacy, public service, and extraordinary character. Rest in eternal peace, President Jimmy Carter.

Four Years After the Jan 6 Insurrection

On January 6, 2021, our nation witnessed an attempt to overthrow our democracy and silence the voices of tens of millions of Americans. Lives were lost, the safety of elected officials was threatened, and trust in our electoral processes was jeopardized.

Four years to the date, I performed my duty of certifying the 2024 election. Regardless of who wins, I will always uphold the Constitution and allow a peaceful transfer of power to incoming elected officials. I hope that this marks a return to honoring the rights of the American people.
