Defund The Taliban 🛑





It makes me sick to say it, but I fear the next terrorist attack will be fully
funded by the American taxpayer.



Let me explain…



Last year, I got the inside scoop
<[link removed]> that the State
Department (under the Biden administration—surprise, surprise) has been
funneling money to the Taliban through non-governmental organizations, also
known as NGOs. WhenI asked Secretary Antony Blinken
<[link removed]> about it, he spilled the beans
and admitted these organizations had paid millions of dollars in “foreign aid”
to theTaliban
<[link removed]>
.



But is millions even the right figure? Some reports
<[link removed]>
suggest the number is really in thebillions if we’re tracking every red cent
we’ve handed them since our disastrous withdrawal.



Millions or billions, one thing is clear: our hard-earned tax dollars
<[link removed]> are being sent to
terrorists who will hate our guts for free. I don’t care if it’s only a dadgum
penny, we need to put a stop to this madness.



That’s why I introduced the "No Tax Dollars for the Taliban Act,
<[link removed]>" which demands
strict oversight andaccountability
<[link removed]>
to keep our money out of the hands of our enemies. While it passed in the
House with no problem, Chuck Schumer refused to take it up in the Senate, so
it’s time to turn up the heat.



This week, I sent a letter

to President Trump urging him to take swift action on this bill once he’s back
in the White House—and now the issue is finally getting the attention it

, people areasking questions
<[link removed]> and getting angry, and
rightfully so.



The men and women who put on a uniform every day and serve this great country
deserve better. We sent them overseas to defend freedom after 9/11—and this is
how we repay them? Not on my watch. I’llfight tooth and nail

a reality, and I hope everyone who hears about it will call their
representatives and demand action.

Old Man Winter is at it again—and he’s headed straight for East Tennessee.



Knoxville has been placed under a winter storm warning

, which means we can expect a blanket of snow that’sa few inches thick

once this thing is all said and done. Officials say the roads could be slick
around East Tennessee, so I wanted to remind everyone to be careful and stay
home if you can.



The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) has declared a state of
emergency

and is working tirelessly to make sure everyone is prepared, so I trust that
they’ll quickly respond to any requests for resources.



Big thanks to our first responders and essential workers like snowplow drivers
who will be working around the clock, regardless of the weather, to keep us
