Oklahoma,

With the results of the 2024 election certified and a newly sworn in U.S. Senate and House, Republicans are officially in power and are hard at work for the American people. The only thing left is the inauguration of President Trump, which cannot come soon enough. In the meantime, my GOP colleagues and I are passing legislation he can sign on day one to get our nation back on the right track.

On Thursday, I voted ‘YEA’ on the first procedural vote to advance the Laken Riley Act. The legislation at hand is long overdue after the horrific murder of Laken Riley by illegal immigrant José Antonio Ibarra on February 22, 2023 at the University of Georgia. Today would have been her 23rd Birthday. The Laken Riley Act is a 100% commonsense bill to save American lives from illegal migrants with violent criminal records. I hope more Democrats will cross the party lines to avenge her death and prevent these criminals from residing in our communities.

Even though his inauguration is 10 days away, President-elect Trump is already acting as a president. He's of course doing this by doing what our current Commander in Chief refuses to do, show up. On Wednesday, the president-elect met with myself and the entire Senate GOP conference to discuss how we'll work together to carry out the mandate set by the American people in November. From tax cuts, to securing our border, to lowering living costs; everything is on the table to ensure safety, security, and prosperity for the American people.

The days of President Biden remaining in office are fewer and fewer, and I could not be more excited. President Trump and his cabinet picks are already leading before being sworn in. He's picked incredibly qualified individuals with a range of backgrounds that all bring different strengths to the table. With President Trump at the reins, and his cabinet confirmed, the lack of leadership can finally end. We can begin work on the wall, we can pass historic legislation related to inflation, and we can end agency weaponization against the American people. Senate Democrats joining us for what's right does not matter. What matters, is that you can count on me, my Senate and House GOP colleagues, and the Trump administration to get it DONE!

Recently, I met with my friend and former colleague, Tulsi Gabbard. Tulsi has been nominated to be the next Director of National Intelligence by President-elect Trump. Tulsi is a combat veteran, four-term member of Congress, and presidential candidate. She's certainly demonstrated a career in public service. What many don't know, is that she still serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves for units in Missouri and Oklahoma. I look forward to voting for her.

Yesterday was National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. I'm so thankful to all the Oklahomans who work tirelessly to keep our citizens safe. Whether at the local, state, or federal level, the courage you and your brothers and sisters show is a testament to your commitment to something greater than yourself. For that, we are eternally grateful.

Following my meeting with President-elect Trump and my Senate GOP colleagues, I joined Fox & Friends with Brian Kilmeade to break down the conversation, discuss the fires out in California, and point out that our lame duck president has left the Oval Office on auto pilot while our nation is in need. We need a leader who's reachable, easy to work with, and will show up. That's exactly what we'll have on January 20th.

Immediately after my meeting with Tulsi Gabbard, I spoke with the press on our conversation, what she'll bring to the intelligence community, and discussed how qualified she is for the role of Director of National Intelligence (DNI). Tulsi will make the intelligence community mission-focused again. She'll strip the harmful policies that President Biden and current DNI Avril Haines put in place.
