Yesterday, Friday, May 22nd, President Trump announced a new policy for churches and all other places of worship during a briefing at the White House. During this briefing he stated that the Centers for Disease Control guidance will now classify houses of worship as “essential" and that governors across the nation must allow all places of worship to open “right now” after being closed during the coronavirus lockdowns.
"The governors need to do the right thing and allow these very important essential places of faith to open right now--for this weekend," Trump said. "If they don't do it, I will override the governors."
"In America, we need more prayer not less," Trump said.
Wisconsin Family Action president Julaine Appling responded to this latest information from the White House in a video that may be found HERE.
Julaine also shared Wisconsin Family Action's endorsement of Donald J. Trump for President of the United States in this video commentary.
“During his first term in office, President Donald Trump has shown that his campaign promises were more than empty rhetoric," says Julaine, "Time and again President Trump has taken action on issues of paramount importance to our organization and to the tens of thousands of Wisconsin citizens who engage with us.
“In his policies, President Trump has kept his promises to defend innocent human life; restore and respect religious freedom; promote school choice; befriend and defend Israel; cut taxes; improve the nation’s overall economic position; deregulate businesses; and in general make America great again both at home and abroad."
