We know that so many folks are going through a challenging time right now. If you’d like to hit pause on these emails while this crisis is at its worst, just let us know here. Team, a new poll is out from Public Policy Polling—and it’s looking bad for Mitch McConnell. A whopping 48% of Kentuckians disapprove of the job he’s doing, while only 41% approve, and he’s outpolling a generic Democratic opponent by just three points. (Mitch’s campaign knows what we know: Amy McGrath is no generic opponent. She’s the toughest challenger he’s ever faced.) This poll confirms what earlier polls showed: Mitch McConnell is very much beatable in 2020. And this is the team that will beat him—if you can, chip in to build our grassroots campaign today. Mitch knows what can happen when you’re one of the most unpopular elected officials in the country. He saw what happened to Republican Gov. Matt Bevin in November, and now he knows most Kentuckians don’t think very highly of him either. Don’t get us wrong: Being a 35-year incumbent comes with a long list of advantages, and he’s got deep-pocketed special interest friends ready to spend big to save Mitch’s seat. But we’re building something Mitch McConnell has never seen: a powerhouse grassroots team that can take on whatever the other side throws our way. That matters, especially when it’s already neck and neck in the polls. This race will be won or lost in the next five and a half months—chip in today and let’s make 2020 Mitch’s last year in the Senate. Thank you, McGrath HQ
