Queens Drive park-and-ride remains closed
Park-and-ride

Queens Drive park-and-ride remains closed over the weekend and possibly into the early part of next week.

Thankfully most of the floodwater has now receded but much of the site is covered in ice. A number of equipment checks will take place when it has melted - we'll update on our social media channels here [ [link removed] ] and here [ [link removed] ].

Further ice warnings this weekend
Gritting

With freezing temperatures continuing into January and weather warnings in place for the weekend for frost and ice, our gritting crews will be out nightly, spreading grit on the busiest roads and keeping essential journeys such as those to hospitals and schools safe.

Let’s give a huge thank you to our gritter drivers who have been out working hard to keep our roads safe and open.

Find out more about gritting here [ [link removed] ]

Motorists are reminded to

* leave extra time for your journey
* have de-icer and scraper in your car
* clear ice and / or snow before setting off

NET announces tram works later in the month

Improvements are being made to the tram network on Sunday 26 January.

There will be no service between Wilkinson Street and The Forest, but a replacement bus will run every 10 minutes.

The following tram stops will be closed: Noel Street, Beaconsfield Street, Shipstone Street, Radford Road and Hyson Green Market.

Normal service will resume on Monday 27 January.

Maid Marian Way project continues

Works began on the kerbs in Maid Marian Way West this week, which will mean there will be lane closures on Maid Marian Way northbound, with some night working and some day working.

Please allow extra time for your journey if you plan to travel northbound through the junction.

Footpath works on Tollhouse Hill also started on Monday (6 January), so the bus stop Y7 will be suspended for up to ten weeks. Passengers are asked to use the preceding stop Y5 on Wollaton Street.
