Dear John,
Our hearts are with everyone impacted by the devastating fires in Los Angeles, including many of our staff, board, co-founders, coalition members, allies, and friends.
We are living in a climate emergency. Plastic production and pollution is a direct contributor to the climate crisis, in addition to emitting toxic air pollution and other contaminants that harm human health.
Solutions to plastic pollution exist, and they urgently need to be scaled up. Plastic Pollution Coalition is committed to continuing our work in this changing and challenging world. Your generosity is helping to create a more just, equitable world free of pollution.
We’re incredibly grateful for your support and look forward to keeping you informed on our initiatives and progress throughout the new year. Thanks to generous donations from 284 donors, we met our 2024 year-end fundraising goal of $50,000, which will be triple-matched with $150,000 from our Executive Advisory Board. We also selected three winners of our 15th-anniversary plastic-free swag bag giveaway, and they received their prizes before the holidays.
Heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to our 2024 year-end fundraising campaign. Your support will enable us to continue our essential work to protect people and the planet from plastic and its toxic impacts.
Please take care of yourselves and each other, and sincere thanks for supporting our work.
With deep love and gratitude, Julia, Dianna, & the entire Plastic Pollution Coalition team
