Washington, DC – ConservAmerica announced today that Vice President of Policy Todd Johnston will be leaving his position to join the staff of West Virginia Governor-elect Patrick Morrisey. Todd will serve as Deputy Chief of Staff and Chair of the Energy, Infrastructure, and Competitiveness Council.
“Todd joined the team right at the time that we were revitalizing the organization and launching the Roosevelt Conservation Caucus,” said ConservAmerica President Jeff Kupfer. “With his extensive experience and understanding of the issues, he has played a key role in our policy and legislative successes. His work will have a lasting impact, and we look forward to seeing all the great things he will accomplish next. Todd will always be a part of the ConservAmerica family, and we wish him all the best in his new role.”
“Todd’s expertise and professionalism will be wonderful assets to the new administration of West Virginia, and we’re confident that he, and they, will succeed brilliantly for the citizens they’ll serve,” added ConservAmerica Board Chair and former Congresswoman Nan Hayworth, M.D.
In Todd’s new position, he will be responsible for advancing major energy, infrastructure, and select deregulation initiatives. As Chair of the Energy, Infrastructure, and Competitiveness Council, he will helm a team to include the Secretary of the Department of Environmental Protection, the Secretary of Transportation, pertinent economic development officials from the Department of Commerce, the energy-technology advisor, and other representatives as designated by the Governor.
