Join us to Counter-Protest

For many years, Reproaction has boldly confronted anti-abortion protests in D.C., countering their harmful rhetoric with strong support for abortion access. This year is no exception. Now more than ever, it’s critical that we show up to defend and champion abortion access. If you’re ready to stand with us, join Reproaction on Friday, January 24 at 12pm outside the Supreme Court to make your voice heard.

Self-Care

Self-care is an intentional practice that roots us in the present despite the oppression we may face. Regular self-care is essential for sustainable and effective activism.

Here are our self-care tips for January:

  1. Find a completely self-indulgent hobby. In the last year I’ve become a slime collector and it is such a wonderfully frivolous activity to just play with goo for no purpose besides my own enjoyment. It’s nice to have a fun, low-stakes tangible thing to ground me without feeling obligated to have an end-product. You can even get grass-themed slimes to say you’re touching grass 😊– Negar, Senior Tactical Research Manager
  2. Limit your news consumption. In the last month, it's become really apparent to me how much it helps my headspace to limit my news consumption. Trying to read every bit of news or every take is exhausting and ultimately leads to diminishing returns. Stay informed, but give yourself permission to step away. – Kelli, Press Secretary
  3. Unplug with a puzzle! If you're like me and would love any chance to took away from a screen, a great way to spend your days inside tucked away from the cold weather is with a puzzle! You could do piece together a classic jigsaw puzzle, build a LEGO set, or have a more hands-on experience with creating a miniature wooden or plastic model. I'm currently working on creating a mini bakery myself! – Jasmine, Media Research Manager

See you next month!

In Solidarity,

Erin, Shireen, Andrea, Ani, Annie, Elizabeth, Jacqueline, Jasmine, Jessica, Kelli, Kieran, Laila, Nataley, Negar, Victoria and the Reproaction team
