ACLU Supporter, TikTok is at the Supreme Court today – urging the court to block the law that would effectively ban the social media platform for everyone in the U.S. as soon as Sunday, January 19.

If the court blesses the ban, it won't just impact the more than 170 million Americans who use TikTok to communicate, learn about the world, and express themselves, it will also endanger the constitutional rights of every American to speak and receive information online.

Banning a social media app that so many of us use to express ourselves, based on vague and hypothetical harms, is unprecedented and unconstitutional.

That's why we've already filed an amicus brief in support of TikTok and all those who use the platform – and, with our community, sent over 19,000 messages to Congress urging them to block this law.

We'll be following arguments closely today to make sure the Supreme Court continues to defend our First Amendment right to express ourselves and we'll keep supporters like you updated on this important fight.

In the meantime, check out our own TikTok page to get the latest as this case progresses – and join us in our commitment to protecting free speech. <[link removed]>
