Once a respected organization that fought discrimination, the Southern Poverty Law Center has fallen far. A recent scandal even led the SPLC to fire its founder. Yet its smear campaigns and fear-mongering have been effective fundraising tools, with the SPLC reportedly stashing $162 million in offshore accounts. Can we trust our elections to the Post Office?
Michigan just decided to mail absentee ballot applications for the November 2020 general election to its 7.7 million registered voters. This will cost $4.5 million, taken from the state's $3 billion in federal COVID-19 relief money. Of course, the success of this experiment will depend on the reliability of U.S. Postal Service. Given that 5,000 Amazon packages, 300 credit cards, 140 checks, and 60 medications were stolen in Michigan in just over a four-month period, CRC's Ken Braun argues Michigan made a bad bet.

Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, has had a much greater impact on America than most of us realize. Many left-wing political movements can trace their origins to her work. She was the first activist to organize distinct groups around a common cause--something the Left continues to do very well. Which union is using the coronavirus chaos to promote Medicare for all?
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the bravery and expertise of health care professionals. During the crisis, the National Nurses United, the largest nurses' union in the country, has been organizing nursing protests demanding the best personal protective equipment for nurses--a reasonable demand. But an official union statement clarifies that that sort of rational demand is a cover for what the NNU really wants: a standardized health care provision resembling "Medicare for all."
