Feeling a little blue this January? Well, we’ve got a story for you.

Thanks to your support, Pobi, a tea worker in Bangladesh received surgery for her cataracts and a pair of glasses – all free of charge. Pobi has now increased her productivity and her earnings, improving her ability to provide for her family.

You may recall from our email in December, that your support helped fund a project aimed at screening and treating this often-overlooked population. The project helped hundreds of tea workers like Pobi access quality eye care, improve their earnings, and their quality of life as a result.

Pobi is thrilled with her new lease on life, telling us, “thanks to Orbis... for creating the opportunity for eye care services in our garden’s community and for my treatment.”
