Winter safety

snow

As winter continues to bring snow and ice our way, Oswego’s Public Works crews are ready to keep our roads clear and safe!

Help us out by following these winter weather tips:

* Drive with caution, give yourself extra time to stop and avoid following snowplows too closely.
* No street parking when snowfall reaches 2+ inches (or 1 inch in downtown Oswego) to allow plows to clear the roads.
* Don’t shovel, plow or blow snow into the street. It’s dangerous and against Village ordinance.
* Keep garbage and recycling bins out of the street to give plows plenty of room.
* Lend a hand! Clear sidewalks, curb ramps and fire hydrants to help keep everyone safe.
