John, Yesterday, the Maryland General Assembly began its 2025 Legislative Session. Over the next ninety days, the Moore-Miller administration will work in partnership with the General Assembly and the people of Maryland to address some of the biggest challenges facing our state. The 2025 session will be one of the most challenging and consequential. Maryland is facing two coming storms: A new federal administration in Washington that casts uncertainty over our future, and a $3 billion budget gap – our worst fiscal crisis in two decades. To address these challenges, Governor Moore has built an agenda focused on economic growth. Our plan is designed to do the following:
You cannot have a competitive state without a growing economy. When we took office, Maryland’s economy was stagnant. Our administration is using a fiscally disciplined approach to get Marylanders back to work and jumpstart our economy. Partnership produces progress. In this legislative session, the Moore-Miller Administration will work closely with legislators, state and local leaders, stakeholders, activists, and advocates to navigate these two storms, grow our economy, and position Maryland to win the decade.
Thank you, Team Moore-Miller |
