Dear John,

I’m reaching out to highlight some numbers that demand your attention:

130 bills already filed across the U.S. targeting the rights, safety, and dignity of trans individuals in 2025 - Throughout the country, legislation seeks to strip away legal recognition, restrict access to healthcare, and even reverse gender marker changes that A4TE and our partners fought for years ago. But A4TE is ready. We provide rapid legal analysis, strategic guidance, and advocacy support to frontline leaders across the country.

11 days to brace for the arrival of President Trump returning to office - Over the years, A4TE has helped secure more than 250 federal policies protecting trans people. We know that these hard-won victories are in jeopardy, but we’ve done this before. During the first Trump Administration, A4TE rallied thousands to protect essential policies, delay harmful changes, and hold policymakers accountable.

We’ve done this before—and will do it again. And just like before, we need you. We now face an even greater onslaught of anti-trans attacks—and we still need your help to rise to the challenge. Please donate today to ensure A4TE is ready to meet similar challenges head-on [[link removed]] and help contribute to the growth of these numbers:

100 days of Advocating for Trans Equality – Yesterday marked 100 days since the merger of TLDEF and NCTE. In those 100 days, we have released our first-ever Trans Legal Survival Guide, showed up for the community at the Supreme Court, and organized against recent attacks on trans people at the state and federal level.

40+ years of combined experience from TLDEF and NCTE guide us in this moment – Since 2003, we have been advocating and organizing for trans people nationwide. Our experienced staff are leaders in litigation, education, and policymaking- and they are meeting this moment with clarity and determination.

2,000+ state and local organizations partner with A4TE create a national network equipped to counter harmful policies and champion trans equality – A4TE works to support and build local power to mobilize against dangerous legislation, safeguard trans rights, and amplify the voices of our community. Our partner organizations lead and inform our ground-level efforts in some of the most targeted communities in the country.

The fight for trans equality has never been more urgent. The systemic attacks on healthcare, education, public spaces, and voting rights are deliberate and cruel.

But together we will fight back. Donate today to ensure we can continue to provide critical resources, foster partnerships, and fight for a world where trans people can thrive . [[link removed]]

We will continue to fight back because we have to. This fight isn’t just about policy—it’s about people. It’s about ensuring every trans person can live with dignity, safety, and freedom.

Thank you,
