Hello John, This month marks the halfway point of Tina’s first term as Governor. Thank you so much for being part of this journey with us! Let’s take a moment to celebrate the progress we’ve made under Tina's leadership as Governor of Oregon. Here's what we've achieved together: 💚 We passed a sweeping affordable housing bill that Tina shepherded into law — a priority for her last year. Oregon needs more tools and resources to boost our housing supply, and that’s what our team will continue to fight for in 2025. ⚠️ We declared a crucial state of emergency on fentanyl in downtown Portland. This led to tighter coordination among community organizations and government agencies. We've expanded access to lifesaving overdose-reversal medications and made major strides in boosting city security with better lighting and stronger crime prevention measures. There's more to get done, but progress is visible. 🎓 We secured funding for summer learning programs, helping thousands of our students stay on track academically during summer. 🚍 Tina visited all nine of Oregon's federally recognized Tribal Nations, taking time to connect with their leaders and communities to hear their concerns and grasp their important role across Oregon. 🏛 We now have a new milestone in campaign finance reform with bipartisan legislation capping political contributions. 🩺 We protected reproductive health services by growing our mifepristone stockpile, ensuring abortion medication will be available statewide for at least four years. These highlights illuminate what's been a remarkable year of hard work and dedication to solving problems.
