John,

For the last three decades, I've had the honor of representing Oregon's 3rd Congressional District in Washington. And every single day, I was proud to serve. And on Friday, I was equally proud when Dr. Maxine Dexter was sworn in as our new representative.

With Donald Trump in the White House and control of Congress hanging by a thread, we need legislators committed to progressive ideals who are tough enough to fight for them. Maxine's record in the state legislature speaks for itself; she's a proven leader on housing, healthcare, the economy, and human rights. We've seen firsthand that she has the tools, temperament, and grit to push our priorities forward, even in a MAGA headwind.

There's a lot of work ahead of us, John, and the next four years are going to be especially difficult; so it's critical we send the right person in to fight for us. Dr. Maxine Dexter will represent this community and our progressive values with honor. I'm proud to call her my new Congressperson.
