The other day, we lost an important court ruling in our case against New York’s congestion pricing plan.

Congestion pricing has already taken effect, and I’m disappointed that the courts have allowed this toll to proceed without a proper environmental review or consideration for the problems this will create for the people of New Jersey.

While I’m not opposed to congestion pricing, I believe that New Jerseyans are being shortchanged by this ill-conceived plan. As drivers inevitably detour to reduce their tolls, congestion, pollutant emissions, and the risk of negative health consequences will rise in parts of North Jersey.

The impact of congestion pricing will be significant, and my team and I will continue fighting this unfair and unpopular scheme.
