Hello from the State Capitol,
As the 2025 session will begin on Tuesday, I just wanted to send a final note of thanks to the people of House District 41B. It has truly been an honor to serve your interests at the State Capitol, and I appreciate the support and trust you have given me.
I was very proud to get a lot done for our Veteran community, from helping secure $78 million in bonding proceeds to renovate the Hastings Veterans Home to playing a role in helping convince the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs to make leadership changes there when toxic work environment allegations were brought forward. I also sponsored a law that exempts veterans with a 100% service-connected disability from paying a number of transportation-related taxes and fees.
In addition, I’m pleased to have helped lay the groundwork for our district to mitigate the PFAS contamination – as Hastings is now included in the 3M settlement.
On Tuesday, Representative-elect Tom Dippel will be sworn into office and become our next state representative. If you have any legislative questions, I strongly encourage you to contact him. He can be reached, beginning January 14, at [email protected] or by phone at 651.296.3135.
Again, my thanks for allowing me to represent you in St. Paul,
Shane
