How COVID-19 Shifted the Way We Support Veterans
School districts, small businesses, and major retail companies have been forced to adapt and adjust how they conduct operations and serve their customers amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Similarly, veteran service organizations must adjust their support tactics now and for months to come, especially if their goal is to reach the most vulnerable among the veteran population.
According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, while the rate of COVID-19 cases among their patient population is falling, the death rate continues to increase. Military Times reported [[link removed]] early last week that “coronavirus patients within the Veterans Affairs health system rose almost 6 percent overnight” — pushing the total for the last two months to nearly 1,000 fatalities…”

It's Military Appreciation Month and Memorial Day weekend, which typically marks the start of Hops for Heroes. However, this year, things are different.
Due to COVID-19 having a negative impact on many businesses, one industry in particular that unfortunately suffered is the craft brewing industry.
Many taprooms have closed and experienced major loss in revenue and as a result, we have decided to suspend the Hops for Heroes Program for 2020.

In the past few weeks, we've had 200 service members sign up for our support and while our current members have already stepped up to support, we could use some extra Angels to make a bigger impact.

And Thin Mints... and Samoas... and everything in between! From this recent donation of 25,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to the Milwaukee VA [[link removed]] to the 30,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies sent to Eglin Air Force Base [[link removed]] in April, Soldiers' Angels brought a bite of joy to troops and veterans!
