Hello, Friends —

Image

This Monday, May 25, is Memorial Day. On this solemn holiday, we pay tribute to those who gave their lives in service to America, and the values our nation represents: freedom, justice, and liberty.

I am proud to represent a district with one of the highest concentrations of veterans nationwide. Memorial Day is a clear reminder of the price we have paid for our freedoms, and our duty to protect them for future generations of Americans.

Gaetz shreds ex-Obama adviser over declassified email: ‘If lies were music, Susan Rice would be Mozart’

“House Judiciary Committee member Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., told Hannity Wednesday that former National Security Adviser Susan Rice’s now-declassified email to herself from Inauguration Day 2017 is highly incriminating. ‘If lies were music, Susan Rice would be Mozart,’ said Gaetz.”

Rep. Matt Gaetz predicts presidential pardon for Roger Stone following meeting with Trump

“Mr. Gaetz, Florida Republican, said during his “Hot Takes” podcast that he believes Mr. Trump will pardon Stone, the president’s longtime confidant and former campaign adviser, before he ever has to begin serving 40 months in prison for obstruction, perjury and witness tampering. ‘I would love to see President Trump pardon Roger Stone to ensure that Roger Stone does not spend one day in jail,’ Mr. Gaetz said during the episode.”

Eglin AFB commander calls for ‘safety pause’ after two aircraft crashes in four days

“Gaetz pushed back at any suggestion that the crashes pointed to any widespread problems with the two aircraft types. ‘My congressional team has reached out to Eglin Air Force Base to make sure that they have all the resources they need to conduct an investigation,’ Gaetz said. ‘These crashes are not, at this point, indicative of some major failure of the weapons systems’ (a reference to the two aircraft themselves, not solely to any weapons that may have been on board), Gaetz said.”

Democrat: Drones donated by Chinese company could create ‘national security crisis’ within a health crisis

“Gaetz, in particular, has been outspoken in his criticism of the drones. Last month, the Florida Republican called on the Justice Department to ground them. Gaetz also said the topic came up in conversations with White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, himself a former Republican congressman, over the weekend at Camp David. ‘In my conversations with the chief of staff, Mark Meadows, I am comforted that the administration is aware of the threat posed by DJI and the dual-use drone technology,’ Gaetz said Monday on his podcast, ‘Hot Takes with Matt Gaetz.’”

Gaetz: Biden ‘Not Allowed Out of the Basement Because He Would Not Be Able to Find His Way Home’

“Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) downplayed the possibility that presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden could be replaced before his party’s nominating convention. However, he had questions about Biden’s “capacity,” particularly given his willingness to remain in the basement of his home throughout this stage of the campaign.”
