John --
The coronavirus has impacted nearly every facet of American life -- and that includes voting. After Wisconsin's primary last month, a large number of new infections popped up all across the state as a direct result of the ill-advised decision to move forward with in-person voting.
No one should have to risk their health -- and the health of their loved ones -- to make their voice heard in any election. And voting by mail is a safe, secure way to conduct an election -- especially during a pandemic.
Pennsylvania has led the way with a mail-in ballot option -- and that's exactly why Dwight voted for it in the HEROES Act last week. And now we want to hear from you. Do you support a national vote-by-mail strategy for the 2020 general election? Let us know today:
Every eligible voter should be able to vote in the easiest way possible. It's our right, after all. Yet national Republicans are working overtime to stop any and all efforts to expand mail-ballot access during this crisis. Trump himself has admitted that making it easier to vote will no doubt make it harder for his party to maintain their power and the status quo this year.
The right to vote safely should not be a partisan issue. Using COVID-19 as a voter suppression tactic is heartless and unbelievably dangerous to the future of our democracy. That's why Dwight is fighting tooth-and-nail to make sure more people -- not less -- can vote this year, even if that means voting from home to prevent the spread of this virus like we saw in Wisconsin.
Please, take just 2 minutes to complete this short mail-ballot poll today >>
Thanks,
