Inauguration funds are ripe for abuse, creating opportunities for undue influence and policy manipulation. Secretive, lavish donations could allow foreign or special interests to quietly buy favors, eroding trust in our democracy.
Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Uber, Bank of America and Toyota have pledged six figure contributions, but we only know about it because each of them have publicly disclosed it.
