Good day, fellow
American.
You are an informed citizen—I
believe that wholeheartedly.
You love this country. You make an
effort to understand what the U.S. Constitution says and what it means, and
you aren’t afraid to stand up for America’s founding and the principles
of liberty that define our nation.
Your leadership and
knowledge are needed today…
Do you
believe it is important for Americans to have basic knowledge of American
history and civics, including knowledge about the Constitution?
Yes
No
Not Sure / Don't Know
We need more citizens like
you—informed citizens—because America is at a turning point.
Dangerous left-wing ideologies are taking hold thanks to a decades-long
campaign by progressives to attack the Constitution and undermine liberty
and patriotism.
The country you and I love will be
lost forever if we fail to restore knowledge about the Constitution among
our fellow citizens. We can’t let that happen!
That’s why I am writing to you
today and asking you to be part of Hillsdale College and our nationwide
initiative—the CAMPAIGN FOR INFORMED CITIZENS.
We are the foremost educational
institution committed to reaching and teaching millions about freedom and
limited government. The goal of this campaign is to build generations of
knowledgeable Americans who understand
- WHAT the
Constitution says;
- HOW it relates
to current issues and events; and
- WHY the
preservation of constitutional principles is essential to
liberty.
If this campaign is successful, we
will spread knowledge about the Constitution among millions of citizens,
especially young people, that our education system failed.
These are young people that
“educators” deliberately deceived or who just haven’t learned about a
proper understanding of American history in school.
You are essential to the
success of this effort to make America more knowledgeable.
That’s because we’re seeking
1,000 people in each state to help us teach the Constitution and its
underlying principles of liberty to 10,000,000 Americans, and this
initiative starts with you—YOUR knowledge and YOUR insights.
And we must do this work without ONE
PENNY of federal or state taxpayer support, even indirectly in the form of
federal or state student grants and loans. Instead, we put our trust in
citizens like you who want what’s best for the country.
So please, share your opinions by
completing the National Survey on the State of American Education
