Advocacy: Immigrant Family Protection Checklist

As we enter the new year in anticipation of a year full of attacks by anti-immigrant and anti-safety net politicians, we’ve compiled a checklist of actions that you, your colleagues, and your coalitions can take right now to prepare. The checklist is available in English and Spanish. Many thanks to Andrea Kovach of the Shriver Center on Poverty Law for sharing her great content to create much of this checklist, as well as PIF’s State Policy Working Group, which reviewed and added to the document. Please share this checklist with any and all advocates in your networks - even if immigrants and the safety net aren't core to their mission - we want everyone to have access to these suggestions and to take on items on this checklist.

Health: Milbank Memorial Fund Spotlights Access Barriers Facing Immigrant Families

The health policy-focused Milbank Memorial Fund invited our director Adriana Cadena to guest author a blog post on the health care access barriers facing immigrant families. The post is informed by PIF research on the consequences for immigrant families resulting from federal and state policy and practice decisions associated with Medicaid “unwinding.” Please spread the word by sharing the blog with your networks and amplifying on social media.
