The 119th Congress has officially started—albiet with a little bit of a rocky start thanks to Republican dysfunction—and we have an endless list of possibilities for what happens over the next two years. But despite all of the chaos, one thing is for certain: My top priority will always be putting people over politics and making groceries and housing more affordable.
Just like I have since I entered Congress in 2007, I've fought to make sure folks in my district get the representation they deserve. That's why last Congress, I:
✅ Secured nearly $30 million for 30 community projects across Georgia’s Fourth District to expand energy efficient public transit, helped create good paying jobs with a growing economy that works for everyone, while working to increase access to affordable housing
✅ Created the House Court Reform Now Taskforce to hold the renegade MAGA Supreme Court accountable to the people
✅ Had my bill become law to support small business owners—while sponsoring others to protect our workers from discrimination and promote equality in the workplace
John, I am proud to have made an impact on communities from Clarkston to Conyers, Covington to Tucker and everywhere in between, and I'm ready to get back to work fighting for Georgia families. But the incoming Musk-Trump administration is already pushing back, and come January 20th, everything we've achieved together is at risk.
Now more than ever, it's critical that we continue working together to fight for what our communities deserve.
