Teacher certification reform bill is a good start for teachers and schools
In an attempt to address perceived teacher shortages, a bipartisan group of state legislators introduced a bill to make it easier for qualified teachers from other states to become licensed in Wisconsin. Occupational licensing reform in Wisconsin should be a bipartisan issue
One of the most comprehensive reports on the effects of occupational licensing was issued by the Obama administration in 2015. The report encouraged states to adopt “institutional reforms” that take into account the “costs and benefits” associated with occupational licensing.
