As we enter our 15th anniversary as an organization, we’re grateful for our collective progress and proud to reflect on all that we accomplished this past year. Your unwavering support allowed us to publish groundbreaking research papers, introduce federal legislation, attend Global Plastics Treaty negotiating sessions, expand TrashBlitz to new regions, and grow our Ambassador network of passionate changemakers.

Whether you called on your representatives to take action, shared our science, submitted data in the TrashBlitz app, became a 5 Gyres Ambassador, or donated to our mission, YOU played a critical role in the fight against plastic pollution.

OUR 2024 IMPACT

Even with this forward momentum, our work is far from over. We’re up against fossil fuel lobbyists who successfully delayed the Global Plastics Treaty, companies like Amazon that make overconsumption a daily habit, and a changing presidential administration.

The good news is that we're up for the challenge. Thanks to you and your support this giving season, we raised over $400,000 that will directly support our scientific research, advocacy efforts, and community initiatives to drive innovative solutions to plastic pollution.
