Start buying spring turkey permits Jan. 13
Ready for spring turkey season? Hunters may begin purchasing 2025 spring turkey season permits from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission beginning at 1 p.m. Central time Jan. 13.
Hunters may purchase up to two spring permits. A limit of 10,000 spring permits are available for sale to nonresident hunters. For more details, check out the online Turkey Guide [ [link removed] ].

Catch a big game meeting this winter
There is still time to attend a big game meeting this winter and share your feedback on big game issues. Several in-person meetings remain on the schedule, and if you can't make it, you can also attend a virtual meeting via Zoom.

Apply now for Super Tag lottery
Take your shot at a once-in-a-lifetime hunting permit. The Super Tag permit offers the chance to take an elk, antelope, deer and turkey on a single permit. Both residents and nonresidents may apply.

Upland season still open
Don't put away your hunting gear yet — Nebraska's upland bird season is still going strong. Hunt for species like pheasant, quail, partridge and prairie grouse through Jan. 31, and see if you can complete the Upland Slam while you're at it, adding an extra challenge to your hunts.
