Gain a clear understanding of how to navigate business tax filing and due dates, and learn about the critical roles and responsibilities of the Commissioner’s office in assessing and managing business taxes. What You’ll Learn: BPOL & Business Tangible Taxes: Discover how Arlington businesses interact with the CoR’s Business Tax Division for Business Professional and Occupational License (BPOL) taxes and business property assessments, including items like computers and office furniture. Additional Taxes: Learn about bank franchise taxes, custodial taxes (such as cigarettes, county meals, short-term rental, and transient occupancy), and how they impact your business. Audits & Compliance: Understand the audit process to ensure gross receipts are reported properly. This is a must-attend event for small business owners seeking to better understand their tax obligations and ensure compliance with Arlington County’s requirements.
