Who is the veteran in your life? Whether a neighbor, friend, small business owner, teacher or family member, veterans play an integral part in shaping our local community and national history. Sometimes hidden in plain sight, their service and sacrifices often go unnoticed. What better way to honor the veteran in your life than to listen to their experiences and preserve these memories so that they can instruct and inspire future generations? Thankfully, Congress established the Veterans History Project to help achieve this goal.

My office is teaming up with the Library of Congress to host a Veterans History Project Day on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne. Visit my website or Facebook event if you are interested in volunteering or participating.

We need your help in collecting the personal narratives of the more than 47,000 veterans who call Wyoming home. I encourage you to volunteer or share your story to be a part of this historic endeavor!

“We can all agree that the current budget and spending system has broken down,” said Enzi. “I am hopeful that through this process, we will be able to reach bipartisan agreement to end the current dysfunction and put our country on a path toward a more sustainable fiscal future.”

Enzi applauds Administration for supporting refinery jobs

Enzi issued the following statement after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced it was granting 31 Small Refinery Exemptions, which help Wyoming's refineries by reducing regulatory burdens:

“I am glad the EPA recognized that exemptions from the Renewable Fuel Standard are necessary for small refineries to compete,” Enzi said. “The energy industry is essential to Wyoming’s economy and our nation’s energy independence. This decision to grant waivers for refineries that would otherwise see severe economic harm is good for workers in Wyoming and across the country.”

“Growing a strong economy starts with preparing the next generation with proper technical education,” Enzi said. "This September, we celebrate initiatives and programs that help students obtain valued skills."
