Hi John,

I hope you and your family are continuing to stay safe and following CDC guidelines to stop the spread of COVID-19. As parts of Florida begin to re-open, it's important to exercise caution and listen to public health officials on best practices.

Today, I am proud to announce that I have earned the endorsement of the Sierra Club for my re-election campaign. Since 1892, they have led grassroots efforts to protect the environment and keep our communities free from air and water pollution.

As Floridians, we depend on the environment to fuel our economy and sustain our way of life; so it is our responsibility to keep it clean. Central Florida's year-round growing season -- which helps feed the world -- is only possible because of our fertile land, ideal climate, and thousands of hard-working farmers. Our beautiful coral reefs are home to some of the most diverse ecosystems on earth, but they are being rapidly destroyed by overfishing, pollution, and development.

This is unacceptable. We are on the frontlines of the climate crisis and if we don't act quickly, the effects will be devastating. We are already experiencing alarmingly fast sea-level rise and hurricanes that wreak havoc on our communities and make it harder to rebuild.

I have always stood up to corporate polluters and refuse to back down from my fight to ban fracking, improve our district's water quality, and reach a 100 percent clean economy by 2050. Although there is a lot at stake, I am not afraid of the challenge because I know that I am not alone in this fight. Your support means the world to me and I know that together we can accomplish critical progress.
