This is Ben Wikler, Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. The first big election of the new Trump era is coming up, and it’s happening in Wisconsin in less than three months.

Wisconsin’s state Supreme Court majority is once again in the balance.

The Progressive Change Campaign Committee and thousands of PCCC members like you helped Wisconsinites flip the court majority from the far-right in 2023 and end the curse of gerrymandering in our state.

Now, a state Supreme Court justice is retiring, putting the tie-breaking vote up for grabs once again. And, there are two candidates vying to take her place: a far-right extremist, Brad Schimel, who drove the lawsuit to repeal the Affordable Care Act when he was Scott Walker’s Attorney General… and Judge Susan Crawford—a fair and impartial judge who will reject efforts to politicize the constitution to undermine our most basic rights.

All of the progress in Wisconsin in the last few years could be erased if a Trump-loyal right-winger like Schimel wins this seat.

But that’s exactly the key: In 2024, a tough year nationwide, we won critical fights in Wisconsin—because we organized year-round. And that same year-round approach to organizing is how we flipped the court majority in 2023.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court laid the groundwork for the new maps to take effect, so that voters can pick their representatives rather than the other way around.

But now that’s in danger. If the far right retakes the Wisconsin Supreme Court on April 1, you can bet that they’ll try to grab back ill-gotten power—the law be damned.
