This week, in a peaceful exchange of power, Congress certified the 2024 election results, including Trump’s presidential win. While this is a dark time for America, there is still hope.
For the next four years, I promise you I will go to work every day for the people of Ohio, as I did during my first two terms.
And I promise you I will do everything in my power to stop Donald Trump and his cronies from toying with our liberties, rights, and our democracy.
As VP Kamala Harris stated, “Today, America’s democracy stood.” The next four years will be difficult, but my Democratic colleagues in Congress and I are ready to stand alongside the American people and fight to ensure our democracy remains.
