On Friday, Republican Mike Johnson was elected Speaker of the
House.

He wasted no time attacking our movement for climate justice.

On the House floor, Johnson said, “We have to stop the attacks on
liquefied natural gas, [and] pass legislation to eliminate the Green New
Deal.”

From the air we breathe to the water we drink — when we fight for the
Green New Deal, we are fighting for a liveable planet for future
generations.

Now, with a Republican Speaker elected, and Trump returning to the White
House in just 13 days, we need to be ready to fight back like never
before.
