This year, NDWA will fight to:
- Protect care programs like Medicaid and Medicare from devastating cuts.
- Defend immigrant workers from cruel deportation policies and threats to citizenship.
- Win state-level victories to secure better wages, stronger protections, and dignity for domestic workers.
Together, we’ve faced tough challenges—and we’ve overcome them. As 2025 begins, we’re ready to take on whatever lies ahead, and it all starts with you.
By signing this commitment, you’re pledging to take at least two actions this quarter to support domestic workers. Whether it’s calling your representatives, signing petitions, or attending events, every step you take helps protect care, defend immigrant workers, and demand dignity for all.
At its heart, our movement is about care and dignity—for the domestic workers who make all other work possible.
But the forces working against us are relentless. The same anti-care champions who want to weaken programs like Medicaid are pushing policies that harm immigrant workers, families, and communities. Their attacks on our most vulnerable workers are part of a broader effort to undermine our values and reverse the progress we’ve fought so hard to achieve.
We aren’t afraid of a challenge. Just as we always have, we’ll fight to protect care, defend immigrant workers, and win rights for domestic workers. But we can’t do it alone—we need you with us.

- State Campaigns: We’ll push for Domestic Workers’ Bills of Rights in Washington, Maine, and beyond, while continuing bold campaigns for higher wages.
- Community Power: We’ll share the human stories of care and immigration to show the world why respect is non-negotiable.
Here’s the truth: we’ll only succeed if we stand together. The fight for care and dignity is the fight for resilience—for safeguarding what matters most and standing strong against efforts to divide and devalue us.
