Two weeks before Mike’s win, I went live on Facebook with him to discuss the importance of his race.

I talked about how our mission when we started Real Justice was simply to elect district attorneys who have a heart, who are compassionate. Because a district attorney is like the CEO of their local justice system, and a good one can change a rotten system from the inside out.

Real Justice has been able to help elect reform-minded prosecutors in Boston, Jackson, Philadelphia, San Antonio, and in counties all across the country — and now in Portland!

John, we’re just getting started. This cycle, we’ve endorsed and are working to elect some incredible candidates for reform: Victoria Burton-Harris in Detroit, Michigan, Eric Rinehart in Lake County, Illinois, and José Garza in Travis County, Texas!
