Dear Friend, As the calendar turns to 2025, we are deeply grateful for your enduring support for cats and kittens. Thanks to you, Alley Cat Allies achieved our end-of-year goal and is ready to make even greater strides for community cats in the year ahead! As we pause and reflect, let's celebrate the incredible progress we've made together. In 2024, we: Provided on-the-ground disaster response after the largest fire in Texas history and back-to-back hurricanes Helene and Milton. We saved cats’ lives with emergency veterinary support, cat and kitten food, critically needed generators, vaccines and other medical supplies, Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and more. Widened access to care through the Alley Cat Allies Cat Help Desk and our brand-new Community Resource Tool™, connecting people to low-cost veterinary services, animal food bank resources, and more. Supported lifesaving care for cats through community programs and veterinary clinics that provide lifesaving care for cats. Took groundbreaking legal action, including our historic federal lawsuit against the U.S. National Park Service to stop its plan to remove and kill cats in Puerto Rico and our lawsuit to stop the cruel and illegal killing of cats in Summit County, Ohio. And so much more.
The heartwarming stories of individual cats reflect our headline-worthy accomplishments. There are more than we could ever list in one email, so we’re sharing just a few: Pumpkin and Spice were saved from a shelter without humane policies. Sibling kittens Pedro, Frost, Coffee, Cinnamon, Furrnando, and Whiskers were found abandoned in a muck bucket at just 3-4 weeks old. Because of you, Alley Cat Allies was able to directly support community programs and veterinary clinics that provide lifesaving treatments for cats and kittens like them. Mona and Phoenix, rescued and treated for smoke inhalation from the Smokehouse Creek fire in Texas, received immediate rescue, gained long-term care, and are now thriving in their forever homes. After Hurricane Milton in Florida, we provided food, medical supplies, and generators to keep veterinary clinics operational. Cats like Jack, Flash, and Tripod received urgent care and shelter. Graham was rescued from a dire situation of cruelty and neglect that nearly cost him his life.
Together, we’re not just envisioning the impact we’ll make in 2025—we’re actively building it. Every cat’s life saved is thanks to your dedication and heart. Thank you for turning our mission into reality and making a difference for cats every single day. With heartfelt gratitude, Alley Cat Allies
