Dear John,
As we step into 2025, it is evident that America desperately needs prayer. The past week alone has reminded us of the darkness that is lurking in our nation -- from the horrifying terrorist attack in New Orleans to the challenges facing our nation's leadership in Washington, D.C.
But Scripture calls us to wake up, to be vigilant, and to be strong. As Isaiah 52:1 says, "Awake, awake, put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city."
Last Friday, the U.S. House of Representatives reelected Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House. This was not just a political decision; it was a moment of answered prayer. FRC led a prayer effort ahead of the vote, gathering hundreds of believers to intercede for a leader who stands for biblical values.
Speaker Johnson is a man of faith, and as he takes the gavel once again, he needs our continued support -- both in prayer and in action. FRC is committed to being a biblical witness to not just Speaker Johnson, but the entirety of our government, and communities across America.
While we welcome Speaker Johnson's reelection, we know that the issues within our government are far greater than just who holds the Speaker's gavel. Throughout 2025, we must remain vigilant and focused on being faithful to the word of God and bold in our witness for Christ.
That's exactly what Family Research Council (FRC) is doing on Capitol Hill and across America, and we are asking you to stand with us. FRC is standing in the gap in Washington, D.C., ensuring that the voices of believers are heard.
Through Washington Watch, our Center for Biblical Worldview, and our direct engagement with lawmakers, we are equipping and encouraging leaders like Speaker Johnson with biblical truth and policy strategies that uphold faith, family, and freedom. We're working to ensure that citizens and lawmakers are equipped with the truth they need to carry the light of Christ with them wherever they go.
But we cannot do this without you. Your financial support today allows FRC to continue this mission -- to equip godly leaders and ensure biblical truth has a seat at the table in our nation's capital.
Will you give today to strengthen our efforts?
SUPPORT FRC NOW
While we look forward to new leadership in the White House, there are still dark forces at work across the nation. On New Year's Day, a radicalized attacker -- an American carrying an ISIS flag -- drove a truck into a crowd in New Orleans, killing 14 people and injuring dozens more.
Later, we discovered that the attacker, identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a U.S. Army Veteran, planted an explosive device outside the St. Louis Cathedral, apparently with the intent of massacring Christians as they attended church.
This kind of targeted violence, specifically against Christians, is becoming increasingly commonplace. But we must understand that these are symptoms of a much deeper and more serious issue.
If America does not have a course correction, as we have pushed God and morality out of our classrooms, entertainment industry, and even within government itself, we should not be surprised when destructive ideologies find fertile ground in these vast areas, void of truth and morality.
FRC has been a beacon for biblical truth and morality since 1983, and elected officials are taking notice. In the wake of this horrific act, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry reached out to me, asking FRC to mobilize believers in prayer. We responded.
This past Sunday, January 5, FRC hosted a national prayer gathering to intercede for Louisiana, our country, our leaders, and the families affected by this unconscionable attack. Joined by Governor Landry, Michele Bachmann, pastors Jack Hibbs, Carter Conlon, and Art Reyes and others, we lifted up our voices to ask for God's protection, wisdom, and revival for our nation.
As Governor Landry and others have made clear: this is not a time to be passive. America is at a tipping point, and our nation will not be healed through politics -- it will be healed when we return to prayer and biblical truth.
FRC is at the forefront of this battle -- mobilizing intercessors, defending Christian values, and equipping leaders to stand for truth. With your support, we will continue to lead prayer efforts, strengthen our media platforms, and engage with policymakers to stand against radical ideologies threatening our nation.
Now is the time for believers to wake up, stand up, and act. Will you partner with us today?
GIVE TO DEFEND AMERICA'S FUTURE
As we enter 2025, FRC is fully awake, fully engaged, and fully committed to standing for faith, family, and freedom. The challenges ahead demand courage, perseverance, and unwavering faith.
The battle for biblical values is intensifying, and now is the time for all believers to be vigilant, prayerful, and active. We need believers like you -- faithful partners who will pray fervently, give generously, and take bold action to defend America's biblical foundation.
Together, we can push back against the forces seeking to erode biblical values.
This is a pivotal moment. Christians cannot afford to be silent or passive. The only way to protect America from the threats we face if we want to remain free, is to turn to God and seek his protection for our nation.
We must have the humility to turn to God in prayer and the boldness to embrace the truths of His Word and live accordingly. With your support, I believe that we can get America back on track.
Thank you for partnering with us in this mission.
