John,

I was just sworn in to serve another term as the Speaker of the Pennsylvania State House! I am so honored — and so ready — to continue serving you with the power of the Speaker’s gavel.

Thanks to you, we were able to protect our razor-thin majority in the House, keeping Democrats in power to hold the line for progress and stand up for our values.

Under my leadership, our Democratic majority is going to focus on creating an economy that works for Pennsylvanians, cutting costs for working families, creating safer communities, raising the minimum wage, and passing long-term funding solutions for public transit in all 67 counties. I promise to lead the fight for change to help all Pennsylvanians  — not just the wealthy and well-connected at the top.

All that we have accomplished and all that we will accomplish is a testament to your organizing efforts, your community building, and your values. When we stand united in the fight for progress, we can move mountains and make history.

I am confident that together we can do amazing things to advance our Commonwealth. John, let’s not take this moment for granted. We have a one-seat majority, so we need to be prepared to defend and expand our Democratic majority in the State House at any moment. Please consider chipping in to hold on to our Democratic majority so I can continue serving you as Speaker of the Pennsylvania State House.
