Dear John,
Happy New Year! We hope you had a restful and memorable holiday season with loved ones. We look forward to being in community with you in 2025!
As we kick off the new year, we want to share exciting news about the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s Community Space. Beginning in February, the Community Space is expanding its membership eligibility to include Bay Area nonprofits working in communities across San Mateo County. This means that an organization based in Oakland or San Francisco that provides programming in San Mateo County could be eligible to use the space to host meetings, convenings, and events. Previously, our eligibility included only organizations based in San Mateo County.
Eligible organizations will have the ability to host approved community events free of charge, furthering our local mission to build an equitable San Mateo County, where everyone has the agency and opportunity to prosper. In the Community Space, we continue to center inclusion, healing and learning.
We will be hosting an Open House on Thursday, January 30, from 1-4:30 p.m. to mark the occasion and would love for you to join us! This will be a casual gathering to celebrate, foster community, and give people an opportunity to get to know the space. We kindly ask that attendees register here to identify a specific time period for their visit. We also ask that each attendee, including colleagues within your organization, register individually to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.
We will send an email reminder as the date approaches. As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Thank you for your ongoing support of the Community Space. We look forward to celebrating this milestone with you!
In Community,
Alma Pulido, Jeremy Nguyen and the CZI Community Team
